The Oxbow Reservoir is on the Rubicon river in Placer County California. I was out looking for fall color and found this amazing spot. The light was just right for reflecting the tops of the ridges in the calm water. I had to slightly overexpose to capture the beauty of the reflection. This has become one of my favorite videos. Watching it calms me by bringing back the memory of the quiet and peace of this spot. I could see large fish rising in the clear water. The water is so clear that the river bottom looks like it is floating on the surface.
